Ibrahim ZAMAN

Ibrahim ZAMAN is one of the most popular photographers in Turkey.

He was born at Adapazarı in 1937. He started to develop a great interest toward photography as an art. He is the co-founder of Group 5 and AFAK Photography Club.

His first exhibition “The Pigeons” was opened in 1967 in Istanbul. Since then, he participated to countless national and international exhibitions, slide shows and competitions. He has won many awards in national and international photography competitions. He is among the most qualified and popular jury members in national or international competitions.

He has published many photography albums and books such as “Over 40 years by Zaman”, “Zaman in Turkey”, “The Library of Turkish Photographers” and “Fields”. Since over ten years, he writes educational articles about photography in specialized magazines. He was a lecturer on “Portraits in Photography” at the Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Photography Department for a while…
